SUMMER YOGA AT SHERMAN GARDENS
07.24.19
Get grounded, rooted and connected at a summer yoga class set within the natural beauty of Sherman Gardens in Corona del Mar. Happy Hour Yoga and Hot Yoga will be offered throughout the summer.
Happy Hour Yoga takes place outdoors in Sherman Gardens on the last Thursday of the month on July 25 & August 29 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Begin with breath work, then move into Hatha yoga (all levels), focusing on balance, strength and stretching. Next is a meditation practice, ending with a restful, restorative Savasana pose.
After class, enjoy a glass of wine as you wander through the Gardens. Bring a mat and a small towel. Members $20 and Non-Members $25. Register at slgardens.org or by calling 949.673.2261.
Hot Yoga will take place inside Sherman Garden’s lush tropical conservatory on Saturdays on July 27 and August 31 at 9 a.m. Starting with breathing and gentle stretching, you will slowly move into more challenging poses. Build strength and balance in the same hot, humid and sweetly scented environment enjoyed by the orchids, bromeliads, koi fish and turtles of Sherman Gardens.
Bring a mat, a small towel and plenty of water. Members $15 and Non-Members $20. Register at slgardens.org or by calling 949.673.2261.

City of Santa Ana’s 150th Birthday
07.24.19
In honor of the City of Santa Ana's 150th birthday, you can partake in a re-enlivening of the Santa Ana historic street breakfast, a civic tradition that dates back to 1928.
Join a morning of entertainment, homemade chilaquiles, old fashioned pancakes or even Vegan migas and stick around for arts and crafts, Santa Ana merchandise, micheladas, historic re-enactments and dress-up for a group photo.
There will also be special guests and speeches, singing the City happy birthday, live music and dancing. You can also visit with the mounted police’s horses, meet town founder William Spurgeon, lotería games, fun kids zone and more!
Group tables are available for businesses, neighborhoods, and non-profits.
Chilaquiles will be provided by Chef Richard Espinachio, Caged Chameleon Catering. Pancakes provided by DTSA's Loaded Cafe. Vegan migas breakfast also by Chef Richard Espinachio. Coffee and other treats provided by downtown restaurants, cafes, and markets
Kids, babies and friendly pets are welcome to the event and do not need their own ticket if not eating. They'd like you to try to reserve table seating for diners by bringing blankets to pitch on the lawn, strollers, kiddie chairs, etc.
Tickets are available at facebook.com/events.
Historic photo provided by the Santa Ana History Room. A re-enactment group photo will be taken by the California Center for Digital Arts.
201 East 4th Street in Santa Ana.
