LAM Re-Opens and Extends Granville Redmond Exhibition

With guidance from CDPH to create a safer environment for staff and visitors, the Laguna Art Museum is now open. Museum visitors will be screened for symptoms, including a contactless temperature check; face masks are required for visitors and staff, and physical distancing is encouraged. Advance tickets for timed entry are required to ensure the 25 percent capacity required in Tier 2.

Granville Redmond: The Eloquent Palette, which was scheduled to close on September 20, will be extended through November 15, 2020. The exhibition was organized by the Crocker Art Museum, where its run was cut short in March. It opened at Laguna Art Museum on June 28 before California museums closed again three days later.

With approximately eighty-five signature paintings, Granville Redmond: The Eloquent Palette is the largest ever assembled and the first exhibition in more than thirty years dedicated to this leading figure in California Impressionism. The museum is delighted to announce its re-opening and an additional eight weeks for visitors to experience this landmark exhibition.

Open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday - Tuesday, Thursday – Sunday.

Dine-In Options at Kaleidoscope

Restaurants at Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo have opened indoor dining under the current guidelines. Guests can also enjoy live music in Kaleidoscope’s outdoor courtyard every weekend, along with expanded patio dining for visitors who prefer outdoor seating at restaurants.

Riptide Rockin’ Sushi & Teppan Grills, Sol Agave, and Buffalo Wild Wings are all open for indoor dining under the new criteria, with limited seating and other safety measures in place. Yogurtland and Locca Churros & Tea are also open. Each restaurant has spacious and shaded patio dining, along with open courtyard seating available for takeout orders from Panini Kabob Grill.

Edwards Kaleidoscope Stadium 10 is also open, along with women’s boutique Miel, which offers patio shopping at the entrance to Union Market every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m.

Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., local bands perform a variety of pop and classic rock to entertain guests. The center also frequently has music on Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The community can follow Kaleidoscope on social media to find out the schedule of performers each week.

Kaleidoscope has other safe and fun outdoor entertainment, including Color Me Mine with socially distanced patio painting, as well as DIY painting kits to take home. Appointments and drop-ins are both available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. For an appointment or more information, call 949.367.9757.

The outdoor center also a Cornhole Tournament hosted by South OC Bags every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level courtyard. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and is $10 per player, with a guarantee of five games. Masks are mandatory.
