Laga on Oprah!
04.14.10
One of my favorite companies that I’ve ever written about on Greer’s OC, Irvine based Laga Handbags were featured on Oprah show yesterday! A Laga handbag is more than a fashionable purse; it’s a way of helping survivors of the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia and profits disaster victims. Each bag is handmade by a survivor. There’s something for everyone: purses, totes, wallets, cosmetic bags, backpacks, and travel bags.
Founder Roy van Broekhuizen said since the show-aired orders are pouring in—yesterday one order per minute, and close to $30,000 in sales. The Oprah Effect is helping Laga—so exciting!
Laga Designs International, Inc. at 92 Tangerine in Irvine. Showroom open by appointment only. 949.654.8360 or 888.LAGA BAG
