Macalistaire at 1850 (Pacific Coast Highway) is the best vintage store in Laguna Beach, possibly in all of Orange County. Macalistaire’s is a treasure trove of unique clothing, estate jewelry and accessories from a multitude of top shelf designers from nearly every decade.

They also have an eclectic selection of furniture, rugs, artwork and other house hold knickknacks that will make your friends and family ask “where on earth did you find this piece?”

The inventory is always changing and that’s my favorite part about shopping there; you truly never know what sort of gem this boutique will surprise you with next. I made a quick of the vintage designer labels that are currently in stock there: YSL, Chloe, Gucci, Ungaro, Courges, DVF, Versace, St John, Calvin Klein, Escada, Victor Costa, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Casadei and Charles Jourdan.

Shopping vintage can be one of the best ways to find that one of kind look without breaking the bank. It’s also a way to go green; helping the environment never felt better than when I recycled a Gucci clutch. But one important thing to always remember while shopping vintage is that if it fits and you love it, BUY IT! You might never again in your life see another Oscar De La Renta dress from the 80’s in your size.

Scotch for Dad!

It costs just $35 per person for a flight of six fine scotch whiskies with cheese and crackers.
