New Year, New Provisions
01.09.14
With the New Year comes a new menu for food enthusiasts to get excited about at Provisions Market in Old Towne Orange. Chef Greg Daniels’ culinary team debuted new salads, small plates, toasts and sandwiches with their spin on classic deli foods. The specialty market and bottle shop also offers more than 100 cheeses, caviar, housemade jams, charcuterie, and chocolates, craft beers, wines and Champagne.
A sampling of the new menu includes a wedge salad with pickled shallot rings, point reyes bleu cheese, Jacobsen sea salt, pink peppercorns, Champagne vinaigrette; and our favorite beet salad with goat cheese, spiced Marcona almonds, arugula, creamy citrus dressing, and Jacobsen sea salt.
The small plate offerings includes assorted radishes with whipped butter, salt, lime; the Devil Wears Pink deviled eggs, with cage-free eggs, pickled to pink perfection with beet and habanera.
All toasts and sandwiches are served on OC Baking Company bread. Favorites include the burrata cheese toast with burrata, arbequina olive oil, saba, chervil flowers; and Provisions Cuban with Zoe’s cuppa, Fra’mani smoked ham, Emmentaler, pickles and mustard; and the roasted turkey sandwich with Zoe’s roasted turkey, cranberry sauce, triple cream cheese, and red onion.
Provisions Market also offers uncooked hand-formed, custom-grind Haven Burger and lamb burger patties known at its sister concept, Haven Gastropub, as well as special requests for all-beef hot dogs and grass-fed New York steaks.
Orders for burger patties and other specials requests must be placed in advance by emailing orders@provisionsmarkets.com.
