Smashburger, the self-proclaimed “better burger” restaurant is opening its first Orange County location today in the food court at the Shops at Mission Viejo on Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Aliso Viejo. Their “secret” is in the “smash,” a fresh Angus beef that’s smashed on a 400-degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. Each burger is served on a toasted artisan bun and topped fresh greens, cheeses, and high quality sauces, You can also order marinated grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches, grilled and split hot dogs, and signature salads, along with sides like rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries, fried pickles, haystack onions, and veggie frites (carrot sticks and green beans).
