Want to hear some eclectic, vintage sounds? Look no further, the OC Mart Mix in Costa Mesa just debuted Analog, specializing in handmade items that celebrate sound and art. It’s a new resource for one-of-a-kind products, local art, hard-to-find boutique music equipment, handmade furnishing and accessories.
The brainchild of Alex Forsythe, who founded the concept to be equal parts audio and visual art. The pieces speak to musicians and sound enthusiasts looking for handmade guitar effect pedals, guitar straps made from automobile leather in Long Beach, one-of-a-kind ictrola horn iPhone docks as well as vinyl records from the 1920s through 1950s.
Analog also features original art and prints, including two local Orange County artists. Sean Woolsey of Costa Mesa who creates one-of-a-kind lamps from vintage parts and Edison bulbs. Riley Forsythe, a renowned artist with 30 plus years experience. creates advertising murals on buildings in Los Angeles, most recently portraits of the Los Angeles Clippers’ players on Hotel Figueroa. Stop by and hear it for yourself.
