Skating for Schools

skate Cheer on your favorite school and skaters at the finals of the National Scholastic Skateboarding League tonight from 5 to 9 p.m. at Vans Skatepark in Orange. The skaters will be competing for school pride in both high school and middle school competition.

The National Scholastic Skateboarding League brings together students who want to participate in non-traditional school sport programs and showcases skaters talents in a team environment.

Living Fashion

green The OC Fashion Association will make Earth Day fashionable on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. with “Botanic Fringe” an eco-fashion exhibit at Laguna Nursery featuring OC Designers’ creations using plants, flowers and garden items to create couture fashions and accessories.

Special guest Ruben Flores, an award winning landscape architect will be there, and raffle prizes will be provided by Assouline South Coast Plaza. Tickets cost $10 at the door for members, and $20 for non-members.
