Phantom: A Perfect Gift Idea

Give the Gift of an Unforgettable Night Out: “The Phantom of the Opera” Returns to Segerstrom Center

Cameron Mackintosh’s legendary production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” is returning to thrill Orange County audiences once again. This revitalized production features Maria Björnson’s brilliant original design, which was widely praised when the show reopened at His Majesty’s Theatre in London in 2021.

The multi-year North American Tour arrives at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa from August 12 to 30, 2026.

“Phantom” is considered one of the most beautiful and spectacular productions in theater history. First directed by Harold Prince with musical staging and choreography by Gillian Lynne, the original version has played to over 160 million people in 47 territories and 195 cities in 21 languages. Webber’s iconic score includes beloved songs such as “The Music of the Night,” “All I Ask of You,” “Masquerade,” “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again,” and the unforgettable title song.

The story follows a disfigured musical genius who lives beneath the Paris Opera House and becomes captivated by the voice of a young soprano, Christine. As he mentors her and falls deeply in love, his obsession sparks a gripping tale filled with passion, jealousy and mystery.

Tickets start at $49, making this spectacular show an incredible gift idea for the holidays. Experiences are often the best presents of all, and a night at Segerstrom Center promises memories that will last long after the curtain falls.
