
The second annual Bing Crosby Season at Del Mar kicks off with Opening Day on Thursday, October 29 while paying tribute to the seaside track’s iconic celebrity roots and founder, Bing Crosby. The season runs through Sunday, November 29.
The exciting 20-day session will bring world-class racing along with a Food Truck Festival, Reggae Fest, Beer & Cider Festival,Thanksgiving Fun run, giveaways and eclectic outdoor dining options.
Here’s the lineup of events:
Opening Day on Thursday, October 29 will feature exciting racing, good times and a Hollywood Fashion Contest, where fashion minded fans can dress up in their finest throwback threads and enter their ensembles to compete for more than $3,000 in prizes! Guest can enter the contest into following categories: Most Glamorous, Best Dressed Couple or Debonair Man, and Best Celebrity Look-Alike or Famous Character.
Participants entering will have a chance to compete for more than $3,000 in prizes. The Grand Prize winner will receive a two-night stay at L'Auberge Del Mar, plus dinner in Kitchen 1540 for two and breakfast at Coastline. Sign ups will be held in Plaza de Mexico located inside the Stretch Run gates from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Breeders’ Cup Viewing – Saturday, October 30 and Sunday, October 31 – as a preview to the 2017 Breeders' Cup at Del Mar, all 2015 Breeders' Cup races from Keeneland will be simulcast at the track. Del Mar’s post time will be shifted to 12:45 p.m. on both days. Gates open at 9 a.m. on Friday and 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Daybreak at Del Mar – Saturday, October 31, you can watch the morning workouts while enjoying hot breakfast sandwiches, fresh coffee, juice and more during Daybreak at Del Mar from 8 - 10 a.m.
Bing+Bubbles+Brunch – Sunday, November 1, one of San Diego's most celebrated chefs, Brian Malarkey will bring his talents trackside every Sunday for Bing+Bubbles+Brunch which includes a rotating three-course menu, Turf Club table and bottomless mimosa’s or Chandon. Reservation required and a dress code.
Free & Easy Sundays – Sunday, November 1, Every Sunday at Del Mar is Free and Easy. Receive FREE Stretch Run admission, FREE program and FREE seat along with HALF PRICE Beer (domestic drafts), regular soda and regular hot dog at Stretch Run concession stands. Plus, watch Pro Football in the 17 Hands Pub, Paddock Tavern or Ballast Point Jockey Box.
Racing is on Thursday – Sunday with post time for the first race at 12:30 p.m. on most days. On Thanksgiving Day first post is shifted to 11 a.m. For more information, call 858-755-1141 or visit, delmarscene.com.

Opening Day Giveaway
We’re going away a pair of tickets to the glamorous Opening Day for the Bing Crosby Season at Del Mar on Thursday, October 29. This nostalgic season will present superior racing along with a lineup of engaging events during the five-week run.
One of those happenings will be the glamorous Opening Day Vintage Hollywood Fashion Contest where fashion historians can conjure their inner golden age starlet or favorite celebrity icon by entering.
Up to $3,000 in prizes will be given out to the winners of each category: Best Dressed Couple, Best Celebrity Lookalike and Most Glamorous.
