Wild & Crazy Taco Night

For the 22nd year, top local chefs will be creating delicious and exotic tacos to raise funds for Share Our Selves in Costa Mesa at the Wild & Crazy Taco Night on Thursday, April 16 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Twenty-six of Orange County’s top chefs will partake in a friendly competition to leave attendees satisfied with all the tacos they can eat, and beverages including Tres Sietes Tequila margaritas and beer.

General admission costs $80; and the pre-event VIP Party from 4:30 to 5:30 costs $150. 

VIP guests can enjoy early admission and have the opportunity to meet all of the chefs and sample their tacos before the general event begins.

Carlos Anthony of taco asylum; Franco Barone of il Barone Ristorante; Noah Blöm of ARC; Paul Buchanan of Primal Alchemy; Greg Daniels of Haven Gastropub & Provisions Market; Manny Gonzalez of TAPS Fish House & Brewery; Salvatore Gonzales of Newport Rib Company; Alan Greeley of The Golden Truffle; Andrew Gruel of Slapfish; Rachel Klemek of Blackmarket Bakery; Steve Kling of Five Crowns;  David Man of Island Hotel; Alessandro Pirozzi of Alessá Laguna, Mare Culinary Lounge & Pirozzi Corona del Mar; Jose Rodriguez & Manfred Lassahn; of Pete’s Sunset Grille at Hyatt Regency HB; Deborah Schneider and Alfonso de Zuniga of Sol Cocina; Deborah Schneider and Jesus Silvasolita tacos & margaritas.

Proceeds from the event benefit the SOS Food Pantry which collects food from restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and caterers to distribute to low income Orange County residents.

Tax Relief Tacos

Del Frisco’s Grille at Irvine Spectrum is giving back with its Tax Day Taco Stimulus when its signature quartet of ahi tacos are offered at just $9 (normally $17.50) this Wednesday, April 15 from opening until closing.

You can enjoy four ahi tuna tartare tacos with avocado and spicy citrus mayo in the bar, the main dining room and the patio. 

Open for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
