Give Your Furniture New Life at A & B Custom Upholstery

We know where many top chi-chi interior designers in Orange County go for great quality custom furniture and upholstery. They call David Madrid, owner of our favorite, A&B Furniture + Upholstery in Westside Costa Mesa.

For more than 30 years, Madrid and his family have offered top quality custom upholstery and custom furniture at incredibly fair prices.

Madrid’s team can custom make just about anything you want and can even duplicate furniture from magazines. They’re the go to source for refurbishing old wood, reupholstering outdoor cushions, and building pieces from scratch. With so many designers ordering excess pieces, you can also save on left behind chairs, sofas, and other in stock furniture.

They also stock high quality fabrics, including Ralph Lauren, Duralee, Pindler & Pindler, Sunbrella, Kravet and many more.

Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

1711 Whittier Ave. in Costa Mesa.714.540.1821.

You can come out and help create a 1.7 mile human peace chain this Sunday on the beach from the Balboa Pier to the Newport Pier in celebration of International Day of Peace at Team Kids inaugural “Peer-2-Pier Challenge.”

Participants are then invited to gather at Peninsula Park to enjoy a pancake breakfast and music from acclaimed local artist Tom Freund.

The Team Kids Wave of Compassion Award will be presented to 13-year-old Austin Kauffman from Vista Verde School in Irvine. Austin will be honored for his compassionate work to bring joy to pediatric cancer patients, prior to, during and following courageously navigating his own cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Registration starts from 8 to 9 a.m.; Human Chain of Compassion is from 9 to 10 a.m.; Celebration at Peninsula Park from 10 to 12 p.m.  To secure spot, participants must register at www.teamkids.org/p2p.
