Summer fun continues at Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort this Labor Day weekend, offering aquatic adventures, food trucks, live entertainment, tribute bands, and family-friendly activities from Friday, August 30 through Monday, September 2, 2024.
Guests can soak up the sun at Newport Dunes’ Inflatable Aquatic Park, open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Labor Day. This water wonderland features extra-large inflatables, including a 17-foot slide, climbable icebergs, monkey bars, bouncers, and more. Additional water activities include pedal boats, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and 21-foot electric Duffy boats. All watersports activities can be booked online at NewportDunes.com.
Tunes at the Dunes brings live music throughout the weekend, featuring performances by David Rosales (country, folk, blues, rock), Jimmy’s Buffet (a Jimmy Buffett tribute band), and DSB (a Journey tribute band). Guests can indulge in delicious offerings from a variety of food trucks and enjoy cocktails, beer, and wine from a fully stocked bar. Bring beach chairs and floats to enjoy the tunes from the beach or water, and dance in front of the stage.
Resort guests can enjoy a range of weekend activities, including Arts & Crafts, Spikeball, Horseshoes, Cornhole tournaments, and Family Bingo. Beach cruiser rentals offer a great way to explore the beauty of Newport Beach and its picturesque surroundings. Guests can also discover the preserved wetlands of Newport’s Back Bay at their own pace.
For those seeking the ultimate shoreside VIP experience, private beachfront cabanas are available for daily rentals to both resort guests and the public. Relax in a breezy, shaded area between dips in the calm waters of Newport Dunes’ waveless bay. Overnight guests can also enjoy poolside cabanas at the resort’s pool complex, which features heated pools and spas.
Moe B’s Munchies, Newport Dunes’ walk-up beachfront bar and grill, will be open Labor Day weekend, Friday through Monday. Enjoy American classics such as hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, and salads, complemented by a selection of refreshing cocktails and beverages. Dine al fresco on the patio or opt for a serene picnic along the water.
Experience waterfront RV and tent camping sites and cozy beach cottages for the ultimate end-of-summer glamping getaway. For those without an RV, Newport Dunes provides a list of local RV rental companies that can deliver an RV to your site, fully hooked up and ready to enjoy. Spaces fill up quickly during holiday weekends and can be booked two years in advance at NewportDunes.com.
