Northgate González Market Celebrates Community Event in Costa Mesa

Northgate González Market, an authentic, family-owned and operated Mexican supermarket is celebrating its Costa Mesa location opening this fall at the corner of Harbor and Wilson with a community event on Saturday, April 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Enjoy great food and authentic drinks while you take a virtual tour of the new Mercado. Learn about their commitment to quality, local partnerships, and the products they offer. There will also be piggy bank painting, plan painting, live music, and mini pan dulce decoration.

Northgate González Market’s success story started with Don Miguel and Dona Teresa González, who migrated from Mexico to the United States to create a better future for their 13 children. They opened the first Northgate Market in Anaheim in 1980, and their entire family poured their hearts and souls into the business.

Today, the Mexican-themed grocery stores have expanded to 43 stores in four SoCal cities with more than 6,000 associates. The González family’s involvement with the company continues to grow, with over 30 third-generation family members managing the business. Northgate Gonzáles Market offers fresh, high-quality, and authentic Hispanic foods inspired by regions of Mexico and Latin America.

2300 N Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa.
