Couples who want to indulge in a sexy, aphrodisiac-inspired menu for Valentine’s Day without the high price of a fine dining restaurant should head to Raw Bar by Slapfish, where the casual yet acclaimed Huntington Beach oyster bar will offer a six-course prix fixe menu for $40 per person, from Thursday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 16.
Known for its fresh, high quality and sustainable seafood, Raw Bar will serve a starter of Champagne and Caviar (Champagne, caviar, blini, traditional garnishments), followed by Soy-Chile Dressed Oysters (oysters drizzled with a red chile sweet soy dressing), Lobster Cocktail (chilled Maine lobster meat tossed in a light lemon mayo, served with a warm butter roll), Locally Caught Tuna Sashimi (thinly sliced and served with a spicy sesame sauce), Surf n Turf (whole Maine lobster boil, clam chowder, drawn butter, petite filet, fries, and handpicked lettuces), and end on decadent sweet note of Rich Chocolate Cake with fresh berries.
“We’ve always taken a fun and playful approach with our menus and nothing is more appropriate for Valentine’s Day than a sexy menu of Champagne, caviar, oysters, lobster, and chocolate cake to spark romance,” said Andrew Gruel, CEO and founder of sister restaurants Slapfish and Raw Bar by Slapfish. “Knowing our dishes feature sustainable seafood makes the menu even more attractive.”
Raw Bar by Slapfish is a simple, community-focused restaurant that celebrates the sustainability and versatility of oysters. Slapfish has created a distinct brand that revolves around drool-worthy "boat-to-plate" cuisine in a casual, relaxed setting, and Raw Bar complements this concept, offering great seafood at even better prices. With a seasonally rotating menu of Peruvian style raw fish, Oysters sourced from responsible suppliers both locally and nationwide, seafood charcuterie, smoked fish, and sixteen beers on tap, the Huntington Beach oyster bar is a neighborhood favorite and go-to spot for seafood and brews in Orange County.
Open Thursday and Friday from 3 to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 9 p.m.
The restaurant is in Newland Center at 19694 Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach. 714.587.9222.
