Paseo 17: A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Costa Mesa

If you're looking for a vibrant gathering place that offers a diverse mix of shops, boutiques, and restaurants, look no further than Paseo 17. Formerly known as Plaza Sereno, this hidden gem is tucked away behind Spanish-style architecture, complete with terra cotta tiles, lush greenery, and a serene water feature.

Located at 243 East 17th Street in the heart of Costa Mesa, Paseo 17 is owned and managed by Burnham Ward Properties, who recently underwent an extensive remodel to create a fresh and classic look for the property while maintaining its Spanish roots and old Costa Mesa charm.

Paseo 17 is home to a diverse mix of tenants, including newly branded boutiques, shops, and restaurants offering everything from home goods and beauty and wellness to jewelry and clothing. One of the newest additions to Paseo 17 is Milligram Coffee + Kitchen, a casual establishment that offers breakfast, lunch, specialty coffee, and happy hour on Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m.

Owned by Ed Moffatt, who originally hails from Melbourne, Australia, Milligram Coffee + Kitchen is a community hub that offers fresh, delicious fare and hosts a range of events, including vinyl Sundays on the first Sunday of each month and wine tastings highlighting wines from Australia one month and France the next.

To curate their menu with locally and seasonally sourced ingredients, Milligram recently brought on a new chef, Jordan Mathurin, who was previously the head chef at the popular Los Angeles restaurant E.P. & L.P. For more information on Milligram Coffee + Kitchen's menu and upcoming events, visit their Instagram or website at milligramcoffeeandkitchen.com.

Paseo 17’s services, shopping and dining experiences also include a diverse range of businesses including home goods from Layered by Paige Elise, boutique jewelry at Mama Bijoux, fresh fare at Greenleaf Kitchen & Cocktails, and hair services from Sage Hair Salon, with more exciting business announcements coming soon.
