Suited to Strut

image

For the past 20 years, OC based fashion designer, Marisa Kenson has designed contemporary line of tops and dresses sold all over the world. She decided that what’s missing in fashion today are updated suits. So, she’s designed a collection of suits to debut at a fashion show Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at AnQi at Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza sponsored by Fletcher Jones Motorcars.

Marisa Kenson’s suits come in luxurious knits (wool and rayon)—guaranteed to travel well. The shapes are modern—not matronly, and she says tailoring is not required. Each suit is available in three different lengths of skirts: mini, ATK (above the knee), and calf length. All skirts are interchangeable with all styles. Prices start at $250 for skirts; $380 for jackets; and $700 for suits.

AnQi is one of the best settings for a fashion show in OC. The sexy new restaurant from the House of An (of Crustacean in Beverly Hills and San Francisco fame) features a runway inside the dining room, and serves the family’s signature Vietnamese-fusion cuisine in a stylish gourmet bistro setting.

Anqi at Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza. 3333 Bristol St. in Costa Mesa. 714.557.5679.
