As the summer season approaches, Balboa Bay Resort is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the Newport Beach Wine Festival. This Memorial Day weekend, guests are invited to indulge in three days of exquisite wines, delicious bites, live music, and stunning waterfront views at the luxurious coastal retreat. After a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, last year's festival saw over 500 attendees, and this year promises to be even more memorable.
The extravaganza kicks off on Friday, May 26 at 6 p.m. with an exclusive dinner and reception featuring Duckhorn Winery, the renowned Napa Valley winery celebrated for its exceptional Cabernet Sauvignons and Merlots. Guests will enjoy an expertly curated 5-course dinner crafted by Balboa Bay Resort's Executive Chef Prabeen Prathapan. From the delectable Wild Morro Bay Smoked Salmon Roulade to the succulent Mishima Ultra Wagyu Ribeye, the menu promises a culinary journey that will delight the senses. This intimate affair will take place in the resort's picturesque Lighthouse Room, offering breathtaking harbor views and the soothing embrace of ocean breezes.
On Saturday, May 27, and Sunday, May 28, the Newport Beach Wine Festival will showcase over 50 prestigious wineries and spirits vendors. Festival-goers can delight in sampling a diverse selection of wines and spirits, including offerings from DAOU, 818 Tequila, Off Hours Bourbon, Martin Ray & Angeline, and many more. While sipping on their favorite libations, attendees will be serenaded by live music and treated to delectable hors d'oeuvres, all against the backdrop of the resort's iconic bay views. The festival will unfold in the Lighthouse Room, seamlessly flowing onto the boardwalk.
A new addition to this year's Newport Beach Wine Festival is The Macallan Speyside Lounge. Step into this exclusive speakeasy-style haven and be transported into a world of elevated cocktail experiences featuring The Macallan's exceptional single malt scotch whisky collections. Immerse yourself in the rare tastings held on Friday and Saturday evenings at 6 PM, 7:30 PM, and 9 PM. Festival guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy The Macallan's distinctive scotch during the Grand Tastings on Saturday and Sunday.
Ticket Information and Special Offers: Tickets for each event can be purchased online at balboabayresort.com/nbwinefestival, with prices starting at $145 per person (plus tax, service charge, and fees). For those seeking a full weekend of wine and culinary delights, combination tickets are available starting at $215 per person (plus tax, service charge, and fees). With limited parking available, ride-sharing is recommended, and alternate parking locations will be provided.
Guests who secure a room reservation for the Wine Festival over Memorial Day Weekend will receive 15% off guest room rates, ensuring a luxurious and convenient experience.
