Pop Up Gatsyb-Esque Picnic

LA’s first mass picnic, PopUp Dinner L.A., an enchanting underground dinner meets flash mob meets outdoor picnic inspired by similar affairs in San Francisco and San Diego is happening Saturday. Join in with friends at the “Gatsby-esque” experience in a secret location in Los Angeles (you’ll found out where to go the day of the event via email.)

Guests of PopUp Dinner L.A. are required to dress all in white and bring their own tableware, food and beverages reflecting dining in style. Tables, chairs, entertainment will be provided and even food and beverages for those who would rather purchase pre-ordered dinner basket. A portion of proceeds will go to Slow Food Los Angeles, a chapter of Slow Food USA.

There are two different types of tickets to choose from: Bring you own admission costs $28; or The Brothers Catered dinner costs $78. To view the menu.

OC Weekly's Decadence Soiree

Tonight it’s your chance to celebrate the senses at Decadence, OC Weekly’s soiree from 8 to 11 p.m. at the Fairmont Newport Beach featuring foods from 30 local restaurants, dancing, eclectic music, local performers, and cocktail tastings.

You can enjoy samples from favorite restaurants such as Red Table, Deli-licious, Tokyo Table, The Olde Ship British Pub & Restaurant, RA Sushi, Cancun Fresh, Pepz Pizza, Green Bliss, Coyote Grill, Slater’s 50/50, K'ya Bistro, The Rooftop, House of Big Fish & Ice Cold Beer, Back Bay Bistro, Inka Mama's, Merely Sweets, Silver Trumpet, Swiss Fondue Stuebli, Brewbakers, Lucky Strike and more.

Sip on drinks from Jarritos, Cayman Jack Hand-Crafted Ultra Premium Margaritas, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Glenfiddich Single Malt Scotch Whiskey, Hendricks Gin, and Chambord Vodka.

Tickets for the event cost $30 pre-sale, $40 at the door, VIP tables are available for $1,000. Cocktail attire is a must.
