Casual Indian Cuisine Opens in Fullerton

Miirch Social, a new Indian concept bringing a unique form of casual dining to Downtown Fullerton in the Soco District is now open. The menu features cuisine utilizing natural ingredients, fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats to replicate traditional recipes directly from India, while also bringing in global flavors and inspiration from other cultures with an innovative spin.

Indian staples, comfort food, and other dishes that have been passed down through generations grace the menu, with standout dishes including Chicken, Lamb, or Paneer Kathi Rolls, Masala Fries, and a Miirch speciality, Truffle Oil Chicken Tikka; a signature Indian-spiced chicken prepared with a creamy marinade that is roasted in the tandoor oven. The menu also features more traditional dishes of Amritsari Chole, Rogan Josh, and Butter Chicken, and several plant-based based options for guests with dietary restrictions, which include the popular Indian street food; Vada Pav “Sliders,” rich mashed potato cakes in bread buns, served with assorted chutneys. Some innovative takes on Indian cuisine include Mango Avocado Salad, served on a bed of arugula topped with berries and toasted almonds, as well as Tandoori Chicken Wings, smoked with a flavor-packed nine-spice blend.  Rounding out the menu, desserts include the Belgian chocolate cake and Gulab Jamun Cheesecake.

“At Miirch Social, we have not only taken some of the staples of Indian cuisine, but we have also added flavors and global influence from other parts of the world to bring guests a truly unique culinary experience,” said Founder Jesse Singh. “Part of that experience includes the rich and engaging social atmosphere that we strive to cultivate at Miirch. We look forward to opening our space to do just that, but for now, we’re committed to the health and safety of our guests by inviting them to enjoy great food with friends and family through takeout or delivery.”

Singh chose Downtown Fullerton, which is known for its strong community and nightlife scene, because the area mirrored the desired ambiance of the concept. In India, there’s an emphasis on socializing, and the restaurant, with its warm brick walls, inviting furniture and a large cartoon style mural of notable Orange County landmarks painted by illustrator and caricaturist, Cory Van Leperen, cultivates an environment where family and friends can mingle while enjoying food and drinks together.

Miirch Social is located at 138 W Commonwealth Ave, Fullerton, CA 92832. The restaurant is open from 11 am -9 pm Sunday through Thursday and 11 am -10 pm Friday and Saturday, with a seating capacity of 94 combined indoors and on an outdoor patio. For more information, visit MiirchSocial.com, follow @miirchsocial on Instagram, or call at 714.519.3501.
