The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar is celebrating turning 2 in a big way Thursday: the party starts at 6:30 p.m.! We’ll be there, and you should go, too. Expect a great evening enjoying incredible California regional cuisine, wine, cocktails and live music! The cost is just $35 (plus tax), a bargain at twice the price.
The Winery at The District in Tustin is a foodie favorite, showcasing award-winning Chef Yvon Goetz’s culinary talents in vibrant, sophisticated setting. The menu is complemented by the perfect wines, and we highly recommend the Alsatian pizza with crème fraiche, applewood-smoked bacon, gruyere and onion; the bone-in beef shortribs, slow braised with carrot-infused pearl couscous, zinfandel reduction; or try any wild game on special, elk, buffalo, caribou loin. (The Winery is one of a few local restaurants offering regular wild game specials; they are great!). And save room for JC’s to-die-for warm Valhrona chocolate bread pudding with vanilla bean ice cream.
If you can’t make it to the party, take advantage of The Winery’s “Crush Hour” happy hour. Wine by the glass $6 to $6.50, Beers $4 to $5, martinis $6.95 and appetizers for just $6.95 Monday to Friday 3:30 to 6 p.m., Monday to Thursday 9 to 10:30 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 9 to 11:30 p.m.

RA! RA! for Sushi
RA Sushi Bar Restaurant just wrapped up its Anaheim Ducks signature sushi roll competition and now you can try the winning roll! “The Big Wisniewski,” created by defenseman James Wisniewski, took home both the fan favorite and judge majority. Two dollars from the sale of the roll through Nov. 6 will benefit the Anaheim Ducks Foundation that supports exemplary organizations making a positive impact in the local community. RA Sushi has two OC locations in Tustin (The District at Tustin Legacy at 2401 Park Ave. 714.566.1700) and in Huntington Beach (155 5th St. 714.536.6390).
