There are so many inspiring stories and good coming out of the coronavirus crisis in our community. For instance, Glenn Tanaka at Tanaka Farms in Irvine shared his strawberries that he grew for student field trips which were canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic. He’s sharing strawberry crops with Solutions for Urban Agriculture volunteer gleaners who are picking the strawberries for the "Farm to Chef to Healthcare Heroes and Community" program.

Solutions for Urban Agriculture delivered the strawberries to Jamm'in for our Healthcare Heroes Chefs and other chefs that are feeding our communities. The jams will be delivered to the hospitals - included with Chef Dee's soup (Break of Dawn), Chef Dean's bread (OC Bakery), oranges (Farm + Food Lab) and cookies from Chef Tarit (Crema Cafe) to feed our frontline healthcare workers as they support our communities during this COVID-19 pandemic.  

The strawberries that were picked were also delivered to the businesses below. If you can support any of these businesses in these difficult times, many are open for takeout.
