Solutions for Urban Agriculture (SFUA) is delighted to invite you to the 8th Annual Harvest Moon Celebration on Friday, September 29, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Tanaka Farms in Irvine. This special event takes place under the radiant September Harvest Moon, symbolizing a time of abundance and community.
SFUA, a trailblazer in addressing food insecurity and promoting nutritious food, gathers dedicated volunteers to cultivate fresh produce. With passion and dedication, over 1.8 million pounds of nutrient-dense produce have been harvested from these fields. This equates to an incredible 1.5 million meals provided to families in need within the last 8 months.
Your participation in this event will contribute to SFUA's ongoing efforts to provide consistent access to fresh produce for our most vulnerable communities.
The evening promises a delightful experience filled with fine fare, regional delicacies, and a touch of local charm. Expertly crafted by renowned area chefs, this culinary journey will be complemented by music and an array of craft beer and wine. The enchanting hilltop venue, surrounded by the natural beauty of Tanaka Farms, will create lasting memories.
SFUA eagerly anticipates honoring the generosity and support of its community, celebrating a year of donations, partnerships, and dedicated volunteerism.
The proceeds from this event will play a vital role in eradicating hunger within our community. Additionally, they will support essential educational programming focused on food, wellness, and the transformative potential of urban farming.
