This Sunday, Lucca’s famed Sunday Supper takes on a new spin as Chef Cathy creates a Father's Day BBQ supper inspired by Bobby Flay. Lucca’s doing a whole lot of grillin’ and BBQ! In place of paired wines, each course will be matched with craft beer, and outside three chefs in white coats and tall toques will be doing their best Bobby Flay impersonations with a 6-foot BBQ and grill. (Pictured above is a sneak peek: spicy grilled shrimp with smoky grilled tomato cocktail sauce.) Lucca’s Sunday Supper is offered the second Sunday of every month, and guests can take a culinary a tour of various European and Mediterranean regions, using different noted Chefs as inspiration.
Sunday Supper will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. The dinner will include 4 courses paired with 3 beers or wines, all served family style on the patio. Price per guest is $60, and reservations must be made 48 hours in advance by calling 949.725.1773. Click here for the menu.

We just discovered puppy love. Ever since we adopted a lab/cocker mix puppy from the Orange County Humane Society and now we are thrilled to introduce Lola to Haven Gastropub’s dog food menu offered on the patio. Executive Chef Greg Daniels just partnered with Newport Beach-based JustFoodForDogs to offer a five diverse dog food dishes, locally made and completely free of preservatives.
Haven Gastropub’s JustFoodForDogs menu consists of beef and russet potato, lamb and brown rice; turkey and whole wheat macaroni; chicken and white rice; and fish and sweet potato. BOURBON STREET PICNIC
Bourbon Street Bar & Grill, known for its California Cajun cuisine, now does picnics! Well, actually, they just announced that they are set to sponsor one specific picnic - The 9th Annual Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) Family Picnic on June 10, 2012.
"TACA does wonders for the autism community and we are committed to providing our full and undivided support each year," said Bourbon Street Bar & Grill owner Larry Houser. The TACA Family Picnic, along with great cuisine, will feature a number of activities for all ages - from petting zoos to carnival rides there will be something for everyone. There will even be a Teen area hosted by the Autism Youth Ambassadors.
TACA, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to educating, empowering, and supporting families affected by autism. The Picnic is a great way to raise awareness and allow families dealing with autism to meet other ilk-families in a fun and positive environment. Families at the event will also have to opportunity to have a private meet and greet with autism specialist Dr. Rossignol and Dr. Anju Usman.
Bourbon Street Bar & Grill is in historic downtown Fullerton located at 110 E. Commonwealth Avenue. La Cave, the red lit underground steak den in Costa Mesa is trying to inject some life back into Thursday nights! Tonight the local band PINCH ME! will perform live. They've promised tons of dancing, drink deals, and a night full of great music. The dancing festivities will start at 9:30 p.m. and the music will go until 1:30 a.m. There's probably going to be a line so get there early for easy access and limited line-waiting. A $10 cover charge will get you in.
