The Air You Drink

Ever since Air debuted in grocery stores, organic markets, beverage emporiums and convenience stores throughout Orange County, it’s upping the ante on carbonated water by making it more exciting. Air, is the first sparkling water infused with alcohol for adults that comes in natural fruit flavors like berry and citrus. It’s low calorie--just 95 calories--and with only 4% alcohol it’s a perfect beverage option for a healthier lifestyle. Think a light club soda drink with an alcohol content similar to light beer.

A 4-pack of Air’s 12 ounce slim cans costs $6.99, or two 16 ounce cans cost $3. It is available for purchase at Albertsons in Anaheim, Brea, El Toro, Fullerton, La Habra, Yorba Linda, Corona del Mar, Costa Mesa, Fountain Valley Huntington Beach, Irvine, Mission Viejo, Orange, Santa Ana, South Laguna, Tustin and Laguna Niguel. It’s also available at Ralphs in Anaheim, Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Orange and Tustin. At 7-Eleven in Irvine, Anaheim, Laguna Hills, La Habra, Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley. And at Total Wine & More in Brea, Huntington Beach, Laguna Hills and Tustin. Whole Foods carries Air in Laguna Beach.

Raw Cooking Classes

We don’t know the first thing about raw cooking, but we know that everything Chef Jenny Ross creates at her 118 Degrees restaurants tastes fantastic. Now she can help students everywhere master the art of raw food cuisine in a 4-week online course. It’s part of the Holistic Nutrition Program at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts, and it will provide insights into fresh, organic living cuisine for those who can’t easily access her classes. Chef Ross will be opening her third raw foods restaurant soon at Ocean Ranch in Laguna Niguel and she’s locally famous for her raw creations such living pizzas, portabella tacos, pesto tortellinis, and chocolate cheesecake.

The classes can be found here.
