9th Annual Harvest Moon Celebration Returns with ‘Boots and Bling’ at Tanaka Farms”

Solutions for Urban Agriculture (SFUA) presents the 9th Annual Harvest Moon Celebration on Friday, September 20, 2024. This year’s theme, “Boots and Bling,” offers an evening of gratitude and celebration. The event marks the end of a productive year for SFUA, honoring the bountiful harvests and the support of the community.

Over the past five years, SFUA's farms have produced over 7 million pounds of fresh produce, thanks to the dedication of more than 7,000 volunteers. Contributions have funded essential labor, seeds, equipment, and educational outreach, driving significant progress in the fight against nutrition insecurity.

The celebration will take place at Tanaka Farms’ stunning ridge-top plateau, featuring fine food, music, and community spirit. A remarkable lineup of local chefs will prepare delicious regional delights, including:

  • Chef Rich Mead, Owner & Executive Chef of The Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens
  • Chef Rick Boxeth of Catered Courses
  • Chef Jim Gibbons, Culinary Manager at Tanaka Farms
  • Chef Ronnie Woods, Chef & Owner of Beef and Birds
  • Chef Willy Kwak, Confectioner/Founder of Krack’d Snacks
  • Chef Dani Leyva, Executive Chef of All Things Fabulous Catering
  • Chef Huyen Nguyen of Say “Huyen” Catering
  • Chef Michelle Curry, Chef and Food Service Specialist
  • Chef Qui, Chef & Owner of A Pinch of Salt Catering
  • Chef George Marinos, Chief Executive Officer of TGIS Catering
  • Chef Andrew Johnson, Kitchen Curative + Nourishment Program Director at Anneliese Schools

The evening promises to be memorable, featuring a selection of craft beer, wine, and music, all enjoyed from a picturesque hilltop venue at Tanaka Farms.

Opportunities to participate include table sponsorships, silent auction donations, and more. All proceeds from the event will support efforts to eradicate hunger in the community while providing essential educational programming on food, wellness, and the impact of urban farming.

Tickets are available now at SFUA Harvest Moon Celebration.
