Del Mar Thoroughbred Club’s Racing and Events for Bing Crosby Season

On the heels of a record-breaking summer racing season, the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club looks ahead to its annual Bing Crosby Season this fall. Bing Crosby Opening Day will take place on Friday, Nov. 11 kicking off more opportunities to witness the best in racing and attend can’t-miss trackside events.

The season will run through Sunday, Dec. 4. A beloved attraction among San Diegans, the nostalgic Bing Crosby season features four weeks of world-class racing combined with engaging events and San Diego’s famously pleasant fall weather.

The fall season especially emphasizes the racetrack’s cool vibe with a laid back, locals-only flare that has visitors feeling in the know. Continuing to deliver on incredible horse racing action, the fall meet will feature 15 stakes races in 13 days. The Bing Crosby season will also see a lineup of exciting events such as fan-favorites Uncorked Derby Days, College Day, Thanksgiving Brunch, and more.

Bing Crosby Season Opening Day on Friday, November 11 will honor all veterans who present a military ID with free admission. Gates will open at 11 a.m. with the first post at 12:30 p.m. Additionally, there will be an exciting lineup of Fall events at the seaside oval including:

Nov. 12 – Uncorked Derby Days Wine Festival: A trackside favorite, enjoy tastings of a variety of wines from around the globe along with gourmet food from local San Diego vendors.

Nov. 19 – Brunch & Brews: Enjoy delicious breakfast food from local vendors and brunch cocktails like mimosas, Bloody Marys, Micheladas and craft beer while watching world-class racing from a trackside cabana.

Nov. 19 – College Day: Show your valid student ID for free racetrack admission and exclusive access to grandstand seating.

Nov. 20 – Toys for Tots Toy Drive & Ride: Bring an unwrapped toy donation for Toys for Tots in exchange for free track admission.

Nov. 24 – Thanksgiving Brunch: Celebrate Thanksgiving at the track with a three-course Thanksgiving meal, a reserved Turf Club table, and bottomless mimosas while enjoying exciting horse racing.

In addition to weekend events, there will be a variety of weekly attractions such as Turf Club Fridays, Taste of the Turf Club every Sunday, Free and Fun Sundays, as well as free admission for seniors every Friday.

The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club continues to lead the nation in horse racing safety and its highly successful protocols for equine and human athletes are considered the gold standard throughout the Thoroughbred racing industry, helping to lay the groundwork for federal regulation with the Horse Racing Safety and Integrity Act that went into effect in July 2022.

Tickets for the Bing Crosby Season are now on sale and can be purchased at dmtc.com. Depending on the location and race day, ticket prices range from $8-$171.
