Driving around during the holidays can be a pain, but with Uber, catching a ride is simple. Uber is a free app that connects a private driver to you with a tap of a button. You can request a ride and be picked up within minutes.
And as a special for Greer’s OC readers, Uber is offering $50 off your first ride with Uber. Just sign up with the code, GREER at uber.com/go/greergift. (This offer is for new users only in Southern California. It expires Jan. 31, 2014. )
You can track the arrival of your ride, the payment is cashless, and you’ll even receive a text message when your driver arrives.
To sign up, go to uber.com/go/greergift.
Challenge Yourself with Surfset Fitness
For the first time in Orange County, you can get in the best shape of your life with Surfset classes offered at Spa Montage at the Montage Laguna Beach. Picture a surfboard, minus the waves, that mimics the movements of surfing and can deliver the same physical benefits. The custom kinetic surfboards are constantly shifting and causing core muscles to adapt and react to the moving platform. A single session can burn from 500 to 900 calories in just 45 minutes – or possibly the equivalent of three hours of surfing.
You can test out these innovative and fun classes with packages and offers available through Feb. 28 at special introductory prices.
Surfset Wellness Group Classes:
“Drop Ins”: $20 (for guests who would like to take a class only. No locker or amenity usage. Parking not included.)
Single Group Class with Spa Access: $75 (includes parking validation and all day spa access).
Private Surfset Training Sessions:
$100 for a single session; or a Weekend Warrior package of 3 sessions costs $260; and a Hang 10 (10 sessions) package costs $650.
Private sessions can also be you combined with any of the Surfset group classes offered. Each session/class comes with spa access for the day that includes spa facilities, additional wellness classes, spa pool, and fitness center.
Spa Montage also offers a Wellness Program with a variety of classes that includes beach Boot Camp, Surfset Yoga, Thalassic Beach Walk, Dance FIT and many more. The entire program can be viewed online, here.
The Wellness Calendar for December is here.
Montage Laguna Beach is at 30801 S. Coast Highway in Laguna Beach. 949.715.6124.
