
Calling all chocolate connoisseurs! Back by popular demand is the Cocoa Lounge, a chocolate dessert haven at the Palm Terrace at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach. Debuting today and offering chocolate decadence every Tuesday through Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m. until Feb. 26.
Executive Pastry Chef Michael Owens will tempt you with delicious artistic creations that include banana chocolate mousse cake, white chocolate strawberry shortcake, triple chocolate cupcakes, double chocolate fudge s’mores, Manjari obsession in chocolate cups, plus lollipops, peanut caramels, port chocolates and coconut almond bars, and much more – served among displays of chocolate statues and chocolate velour.
Costs $18 per person (tax and gratuities not included).
And here’s a hot tip: During the month of February, order a two-or more-course dinner at Palm Terrace Restaurant Tuesday through Saturday and receive complimentary entrance into the heavenly Cocoa Lounge.
