On Thursday, October 24, the Newport Beach Film Festival will present the closing night screening of Music by John Williams as its Centerpiece Documentary, starting at 8:15 p.m. at Big Newport 5.
In attendance will be producer Frank Marshall, who will be honored with the Festival’s Arts Champion Award, and director Laurent Bouzereau, who will receive the Artist of Distinction Award for Outstanding Achievement in Documentary Filmmaking.
Celebrating its 25th year, the Newport Beach Film Festival runs from October 17-24, 2024. Music by John Williams offers an in-depth look at the career of legendary composer John Williams, 92, whose music has defined many of Hollywood’s biggest films.
With more Academy Award nominations than any other living person, Williams has won five Oscars and created iconic scores for Star Wars, Superman, E.T., Jurassic Park, and the first three Harry Potter films, among others. Produced by Lucasfilm Ltd., Amblin Documentaries, and Imagine Documentaries, the film will receive a limited theatrical release before premiering on Disney+ on November 1.
