Eat Chow, a casual cafe serving an eclectic mix of international cuisine for the past four years in Eastside Costa Mesa, just opened a second location in West Newport at Newport Shores.  They’re not kidding when they say they’re all over the place with food choices. You can find ribeye burritos  to almond encrusted marscapone French toast on the menu, along with  Japanese, Mexican, British and Cuban inspired dishes. It’s a hot spot for breakfast lunch and dinner daily, and for good reason.

Eat Chow’s team comprised of Amy Curran, Francisco Perez and Brian McReynolds serve up delicious truffle mac n’ cheese, warm curry chicken salad, French dip with au jus, Mexican chilaquiles, and the Reuben with homemade red cabbage sauerkraut.  And at Eat Chow 2, they will also be cooking up hundreds of new recipes to test out in the new state-of-the-art kitchen. The adventurous recipes are made from ingredients arriving daily.

Current specials include breakfast carnitas tacos  with scrambled eggs, braised Bajio style smoked pork, blueberry basil habañero salsa, avocado, cojita cheese, Mexican crème, flour tortillas, and a cup of black Beans; and sweet potato and goat cheese frittata with shallots, fresh thyme, goat cheese, lightly dressed mache, chipotle aioli drizzle, and garlic crostinis; or Bajio style BBQ pulled pork sandwich with sweet and spicy slaw, whole grain mustard aioli, manchego cheese, toasted brioche bun, and side salad.

Eat Chow 2 took a different design aesthetic at its new location. Designed by Ross Morgan and inspired by a Danish, mid-century modern look with earth tones and seaside color accents.

Spring Fling at Ted Baker London

Ted Baker London is holding a Spring Fling shopping event this Wednesday at their South Coast Plaza location and it is open to the public. Shoppers are invited to browse their collection, check the newest styles, all while enjoying 20% off the entire summer collection. If you can’t make it during the day, the action will heat up at night, when Ted Baker London will offer cocktails from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. while you shop! Spa Day!

CloudMover Day Spa in Huntington Beach celebrates its grand opening  Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. with special Mother’s Day promotions and refreshments. Mother's Day Tea Party!

Looking for something out of the ordinary to do with your mom on Mother’s Day weekend? On Saturday, join Six Taste, an LA based food tour company at the Chado Tea Room in Little Tokyo for a special Mother’s Day afternoon tea party in her honor.

Chado’s tranquil tea room and patio garden, near the Japanese American National Museum, makes a perfect place to spend an afternoon with your mother. Enjoy live music and a multitude of decadent tastings like tea sandwiches, scones, chocolates, pies, and more while sipping special tea blends or Champagne.  Some of LA’s best artisanal tastemakers such as Cutie Pie That, Marti Chocolates and Tasty Clouds Cotton Candy Company will bring their delicious treats, and Six Taste will have a jewelry showcase from Vesterie, skincare products, and a live tea demonstration from Chado’s tea experts.
