Hungry Games 7.0: A Culinary Showdown for a Cause

Join Bracken’s Kitchen for an exciting evening of fierce competition between renowned local chefs, where attendees have the opportunity to act as judges! Guests can look forward to beautiful dishes, small bites, sweets, beer, wine, live music, and excellent auction items. Mark your calendars for the Hungry Games 7.0 event, benefiting neighbors in need.

This annual fundraiser will be hosted at Bracken’s Kitchen commercial kitchen in Garden Grove on Thursday, September 12th, 2024, with doors opening at 5:30 PM. Popular local chefs will compete for the title of “Hungry Games Champion,” with 500 guests serving as judges. The evening promises a casual and enjoyable atmosphere, featuring amazing food, great music, and support for a trio of services: community feeding, food rescue, and culinary training.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive hungry and ready to enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres, meals, and beverages while chefs battle for first place. Guests will have the chance to vote for their favorite dishes throughout the night. The event will also feature a performance by the Pinch Me! Band, providing a lively soundtrack for the evening, and opportunities to bid on terrific live and silent auction items.

As Bracken’s Kitchen moves into its 12th year of serving tasty and nutritious meals to those in need, the impact on the community has been remarkable. Last year, the organization served 1.92 million meals, rescued 268 tons of food, and graduated 14 students from its culinary training program, providing a path out of poverty for at-risk youth. In 2024, Bracken’s Kitchen is on pace to serve 2.3 million meals in and around Orange County.
