Avanti Art by Agravante
What to do with a restaurant’s broken plates? At Avanti Café in Costa Mesa, they’ve turned them into art, thanks to artist Nollie Agravante, a ceramic student at Huntington Beach Adult School. In the seven years since Avanti Café in Costa Mesa started showcasing local artists, Thursday’s show from 6 to 9 p.m. will be the most personal. Nollie’s collected the broken plates from Avanti and turned them into art. Stop by for complimentary hors d’oeuvres for the art show of repurposed plates.
Avanti Café is at 259 E. 17th St. in Costa Mesa. 949.548.2224
