Georgia’s Marks The Wiz at Segerstrom Center With a Special Family Meal

Georgia’s Restaurant is celebrating the arrival of the Tony Award–winning Best Musical The Wiz at Segerstrom Center for the Arts with a special Ease on Down Family Meal, available throughout January.

For the month, all Georgia’s locations will offer an eight-piece bucket of the restaurant’s signature fried chicken, a half dozen pieces of cornbread, a choice of two large sides such as collard greens, garlic rice, or mac and cheese, and two slices of red velvet cake for $39. The meal is available for in-house dining and takeout.

The Wiz is widely recognized as a landmark, all-Black musical that reimagined The Wizard of Oz as a celebration of Black culture, identity, and the African American experience, paving the way for future generations of diverse Broadway productions.

The production runs through Jan. 25 at Segerstrom Hall, with tickets starting at $44. The national tour features direction by Schele Williams, choreography by JaQuel Knight, and additional material by Amber Ruffin, bringing fresh energy to the iconic score rooted in soul, gospel, rock, and 1970s funk.

The Ease on Down Family Meal will be offered all month long. For locations, hours, menus, or to order, visit Georgias-Restaurant.com. Tickets to The Wiz, are available at SCFTA.org.
