Luxury Basics in Laguna!

With the opening of Taryn Michelle in Laguna Beach earlier this spring, locals have a new boutique to find well-edited luxury basics and accessories that are priced just right. Owner Taryn Freeman seeks out must-have items that are perfect for travel, life at the beach, and lines that you won’t be able to live without.

Taryn will be receiving everyone’s favorite Krisa linen pants (available in black, white and navy) in steel grey and charcoal that don’t bag out. (The pants are sheer craziness, there’s already a waiting list for the charcoal color.)

Also choose from jewelry and accessories that include lightweight scarves from Chan Luu, Spun and American Vintage; darling bracelets that are ideal for layering from Tai and Chan Luu; simple seashell necklaces and earrings custom made for the store, Tkees leather fip-flops; and gift items like Makana Candles; and word signs from Kithi that spell out love, aloha, beach and ocean.

Live music, fish and beer!

Big Fish and Ice Cold Beer Stop by the House of Big Fish and Ice Cold Beer in Laguna Beach Sunday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. for Reggae Sunday. Special guest Dub Rock Duo James Ide and Kevin Smith will be performing reggae, hip hop, classic rock and original music.

It’s your chance to relax, enjoy the music, at this Laguna Beach hotspot known for its simple menu of fresh fish and ice cold beers. And, remember Happy Hour is Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 6 p.m. drinks cost $5, $1 off beers, and arrive early, appetizers are priced according to the time of day, 2:30 p.m. equals $2.30 appetizers, and so on.
