The Ritz-Carlton at Half Moon Bay doesn’t seem real at first. It seems like a place you would only read about in a novel. A beautiful chateau-like hotel elegantly situated on the edge of a gorgeous coastal cliff, surrounded by sweeping fields of Irish green grass. However, as the curtain of ocean fog slowly ascends and the sun shines through, the smell of bacon and eggs might bring you back to reality because this place is real.
It is by far one of the most romantic hotels I’ve ever visited. I was lucky enough to enjoy a wonderful weekend with my family last month. We hiked the Redwoods, walked on the beach, ate like royalty, shopped at the local farmer’s market and visited the great little shops in town. We even visited a nearby goat cheese farm called Harley Farms – it’s a must see with a fantastic tasting room where you can try all of their critically acclaimed cheeses.
No trip to the Ritz-Carlton should go without a luxurious spa treatment, and right now treatments are designed specifically for dads and grads (moms can always enjoy a pomegranate paradise body polish and massage combination, a full body exfoliation from pomegranate sugar scrub followed by a full body massage.)
During the month of June, dads and grads can relax with a deep tissue detox massage and stretch, to rid the body of toxins trapped inside the muscles, alleviating aches and pains from all their hard work.
The Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay is one of the most beautiful places to visit. You can go whale watching in the morning, biking in the afternoon, and then relax next to a fire in the evening and watch the waves roll in as the sunsets. If you have a chance, you have to visit the Ritz-Carlton at Half Moon Bay.
