Greer’s OC TV recently went to the Center for Living Peace Orange County for its first Living Peace Speaker Series in partnership with UCI, featuring Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron.
You can find out more by watching the interview on Greer’s OC TV.
Theron appeared with Dr. Michael Bennish of Mpilonhle to discuss the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, which promotes safety and health among impoverished children and communities in South Africa with a focus on those suffering from HIV/AIDS.
The Living Peace series will promote the work of organizations and leaders who are making “Good Happen” in the world and creating dialogue and action that lead to a more peaceful, connected, and sustainable world.
Next up is Sir Richard Branson, discussing Virgin Unite on Jan. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pacific Ballroom, UCI Student Center; and the Dalai Lama is the special guest May 4 2 p.m. at the Bren Events Center, UCI Campus.

Support local artists and find gifts that you can’t buy anywhere else by shopping at the Laguna Art Museum Store in Laguna Beach. In addition to local artists, the store features a wide range of permanent collection giclée reproductions, exhibition catalogs, and special exhibition merchandise such as T-shirts, signed books, and postcards.

We love the recently added six LED lights (pictured above) from Laguna Canyon based Cerno, a team, comprised of an engineer, designer and an artist who create contemporary designed furniture and lighting. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Laguna Art Museum 307 Cliff Drive in Laguna Beach. 949.494.8971.
