Get ready for an unforgettable theatrical experience—tickets for the highly anticipated engagement of Mrs. Doubtfire at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, running from September 24 to October 6, 2024, are now on sale!
The beloved Scottish nanny is making her way to Costa Mesa! Rob McClure will reprise his Tony-nominated Broadway role in this internationally acclaimed musical, praised by critics as “wonderful, heart-warming, and laugh-out-loud funny” (Manchester Evening News) and a “feel-good, family-friendly comedy that delivers” (The Hollywood Reporter). Directed by four-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Zaks, Mrs. Doubtfire brings to life the humorous and heartfelt story of an out-of-work actor willing to do anything for his children. As the Chicago Tribune states, it’s “the lovable, big-hearted musical comedy we need right now,” reminding audiences that we’re better together.
Currently playing to sold-out audiences on the West End, Mrs. Doubtfire has received numerous four-star reviews, with the Daily Telegraph calling it “a complete joy” and the Daily Express describing it as “blazingly comical, joyful, and very funny.”
The story follows out-of-work actor Daniel Hillard, who, after losing custody of his children in a messy divorce, creates the alter ego of Scottish nanny Euphegenia Doubtfire in a desperate attempt to stay in their lives. As Mrs. Doubtfire, Daniel learns more than he expected about being a father. This musical comedy, filled with humor and heart, tells a touching story about holding onto loved ones against all odds.
Tickets for Mrs. Doubtfire start at $32.77 and can be purchased online at scfta.org, in person at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, or by calling (714) 556-2787. For group ticket discounts for 10 or more, contact the Group Services offices at (714) 755-0236.
