Holidays at the Cube, a Scientifically Magical Experience

Embrace the holiday spirit as Discovery Cube, Southern California's premier children's science museum, introduces the all-new Holidays at the Cube. This festive seasonal event is designed to bring joy and wonder to families throughout the holiday season. Among the highly anticipated attractions are Southern California's largest gingerbread competition, known as the Science of Gingerbread, the Broadway-inspired Winter Lights theatrical show, and the hottest New Year's celebration in town, Noon Year's Eve.

Holidays at the Cube Events in Orange County:

  • Science of Gingerbread (Now through January 7): Experience SoCal's grandest gingerbread competition and display, where hundreds of families, organizations, and gingerbread enthusiasts come together to craft imaginative, whimsical, and confectionery gingerbread creations.
  • Winter Lights Holiday Show (Select dates through January 7): Produced by Discovery Cube in collaboration with the Tony Award-winning team at Apples & Oranges Studios, this holiday musical transports audiences into a winter wonderland filled with spectacle, original songs, and the festive holiday spirit.
  • Winter Lights Festival (Select dates through January 7): Immerse yourself in the science of the season at this winter-themed festival adorned with a million sparkling lights. Explore interactive exhibits and don't miss Jean Luc's Snowbulb Workshop, where you can craft your very own light bulb snow globe to take home.

Holidays at the Cube Events in Los Angeles:

  • Science of Gingerbread (Now through December 31): Los Angeles residents are invited to put their baking and crafting skills to the test by creating and submitting their most festive gingerbread creations. The event also offers holiday activities like cookie decorating, a holiday building block station, Santa visits on weekends, holiday photo opportunities, and more.
  • Noon Year's Eve (December 31): Even the youngest revelers can welcome 2024 with enthusiasm, enjoying an apple juice or ginger ale toast and a thrilling mega balloon drop at the stroke of noon and 3 p.m. The celebration continues into the early afternoon with a live DJ and an opportunity to explore Discovery Cube's engaging exhibits.
