Seven Wonders in a Cup!

7 Leaves Cafe

What happens when a group of friends leave corporate America and then travel around the world? They acquire lifelong  experiences, adventures and friendships that they wouldn’t have had sitting behind a desk. Plus, as in the case of the owners of the new 7 Leaves Café, they’ll be bringing home favorite recipes they discovered on their trip.

At 7 Leaves Café you can order tea and coffee drinks that the group fell in love with while traveling in Asia .They pride themselves on making all coffee and tea drinks fresh, without powders, or artificial flavors. Stop by and order a 7 Leaves Iced Coffee, the Vietnamese iced coffee drink could become your next obsession, with homemade hazelnut creamer, and whipped “sea cream” a blend of whipped cream and sea salt on top. Also, try the popular mung bean milk tea made from boiling and straining mung beans, and adding organic green tea and Pandan leaves using a 5-step brewing process.  Both drinks are getting a lot of hype, especially for a place that’s only been open one month.

7 Leaves Café also serves refreshing Sea Cream jasmine tea, Sunset Passion tea, Classic Thai tea, Sea Cream black coffee, 7 Leaves herbal tea, and Black Halo. Most drinks cost $2.75 each. Fresh macaroons and popcakes are made locally, and if you catch the Banh Mi sign out front that’s because the owners plan on adding a “Banh Mi sandwich like you’ve never tried before,” co-owner Viet Do says.  We hope to be one of the first in line.

Open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

9786 Westminster Ave. in Garden Grove. 714.590.2790.
