Griffin’s Kitchen + Bar has opened its doors, offering chef-prepared cuisine in a stylish, street-front restaurant located at 120 S. Brea Blvd in downtown Brea. This newly expanded and remodeled venue is situated alongside the Brea Improv, Yard House, and other emerging dining and entertainment destinations on North OC’s vibrant Brea Blvd corridor.
Griffin’s combines quality, presentation, and taste in a setting where elegance meets comfort. The restaurant features a chef-driven kitchen paired with an “urban-upscale” casual dining and bar experience. The menu reflects the New American culinary movement with an Alta Baja influence, blending traditional Mexican ingredients with contemporary California artisanal dining, celebrating a rich fusion of international cuisines.
Executive Chef Gabriela Gomez, known for her work in Taco Maria’s Michelin-starred kitchen in Costa Mesa, Electric City Butcher in Santa Ana, and Jungsik’s Two Michelin-star pastry kitchen in NYC, will present a curated menu showcasing unique fusion dishes and fresh interpretations of classic favorites. Her expertise will be on display in a recently renovated open kitchen designed to highlight culinary techniques and processes.
The menu promises consistent standards with creative specials and rotating new flavors. It features prime proteins, locally sourced vegetables when in season, and grade A ingredients year-round. The culinary approach emphasizes appealing presentation and flavorful dishes, including shareable tapas-style appetizers and small bites. Guests can expect prompt and attentive service with swift kitchen-to-tableside engagement.
Griffin’s Bar focuses on the art of cocktail crafting, offering a full-length bar with skilled mixologists and a selection of fine spirits, including exceptional tequila and mezcal. Premium wines from Baja’s Valle de Guadalupe and top California regions complement a diverse range of premium spirits, beer, and wine.
Griffin’s represents a vision years in the making by brothers Bill Tanner and Robert Griffin. The restaurant is designed to provide a desirable dining experience in a refined yet comfortable setting, ideal for enjoying quality time with friends, family, or new acquaintances. Building on their successful backgrounds in high-quality, fast-casual dining, the brothers aim to deliver their dream restaurant concept, emphasizing chef technique, food quality, and guest experience in a modern open kitchen environment.
Open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Friday and Sunday.
120 S. Brea Blvd. Unit 106, in Brea.
