Join the Cellar in San Clemente on Monday, Aug. 5 for a special pop-up experience when Chef Chad White of Plancha Baja Med prepares a memorable vegetable inspired prix-fixe dinner with a wine option. Chef Chad shines the culinary light on one vegetable in each course in a knock your socks off imaginative way.
The menu starts with cucumber - Caracol, pickled cucumbers, cucumber-cilantro gel, cucumber leaves, avocado puree, habanero salt. (Rebel Coast Winery, Pink Panda). The next course is all about the tomato, tomato mustard, smoked gnudi, tomato dust, heirloom tomato, and tomato oil. (Rebel Coast Winery, Reckless Love with Carpano-Antica vermouth, black pepper-barry foam & tobacco).
The next course is corn, choice of corned pork jowl (or) corned local rock cod with masa, huitloche, charred corn, onion confit, burnt lime kewpie, and oregano. (Noble Ale Works, Pistol Whip'd) The last course is zucchini - zucchini bread, squash blossom bunelo, honey-goat cheese gelato, and walnut brittle. (Bouche d'Or Chardonnay).

Last Food Truck Saturday at SOCO
Now that SOCO and The OC Mix have become a culinary destination center, as well as as the epicenter of some of the county’s best design and style merchants, the Saturday Food Truck tradition will sadly end with one last Saturday run tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SOCO Saturday Farmers’ Market.
The fave Food Trucks will be missed such as Seabirds Truck, Pulp Fusion Foods,Tamarindo Truck, and @piaggio on wheels. but SOCO and The OC Mix boast a dozen incredible eateries to choose from including ARC, Birdie Bowl and Juicery, The Cheese Shop, Christopher Garrens, Greenleaf Gourmet ChopShop, The Iron Press, Portola Coffee Lab, Savory Spice Shop, Seventh Tea Bar, Shuck Oyster Bar, Surfas Culinary District and Café Surfas, Taco Maria (coming soon), Waiiha Sushi, and We Olive Wine Bar.
