Mom and Pop Style Wine Pub

Feeling like you’re a wine novice, but want to experience a rich wine/food experience without feeling intimidated?  At the new Calivino Wine Pub, a wine bar and restaurant concept that just opened near Angel Stadium in Anaheim, owner Daniel Bradley created a spot for guests to relax, feel at home, and enjoy wines, beers and seasonal plates.

His love for mom and pop style restaurants, where you can frequent without spending a lot of money, was his motivation for creating Calivino Wine Pub.  “I built a space where guests can come enjoy a drink and good conversation, meet with friends, unwind after a long day, or discover a new favorite wine,” Bradley said.

Bradley, along with Calivino’s Chef Patrick Dale, created a seasonal menu that will change often with fresh, locally grown ingredients that can be paired perfectly with the restaurant’s collection of wines and beers. Calivino offers a variety of small plates and entrees focused on New American fare, including crispy olives, croque pepin, lamb burgers, and a house burger with fontina, fried leeks, and port wine reduction.

Stop by for happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday: $5 drafts, $5 select glasses of wines, $20 select bottles, and $2 off select menu items such as a house burger, house salad, spinach wontons, bacon dates, hand cut fries and beignets.

Calivino features 10 tables and a bar that seats 12, as well as a flat-screen television and sofas for guests to unwind.

Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday; 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday to Saturday; 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Calivino Wine Pub is at 2410 East Katella Avenue in Anaheim. 714.939.7735
