Pizza Pi Day at Prego Ristorante

Math nerds and pizza lovers are in for a memorable and tasty Pi Day at Prego Ristorante in Irvine on Saturday, March 14th – or 3.14.15. Prego will be celebrating with a Pizza Pi Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. by offering a personal pizza pie for only $3.14. The delicious made-to-order, wood-fired personal pizzas, with a choice of select toppings, will be offered in addition to the restaurant’s brunch and lunch menus.

Executive Chef and Partner, Ugo Allesina focuses on regional Italian cuisine, featuring authentic pizza baked in a wood-fired oven, freshly made pastas, grilled fresh fish, spit-roasted meats and fowl, and Prego offers an extensive list of wines from Italy and California. Homemade desserts and pastries complete Prego’s dining experience that’s been a culinary destination for more than two decades.

Prego Ristorante is open for lunch and dinner daily.

Eat LBC’s Launch Party

Eat LBC’s Launch Party for Long Beach Restaurant Week on March 22-28 will be celebrated at Hyatt The Pike in Downtown Long Beach on Sunday, March 15 from 2 to 5 p.m. Gary Wagner, host of KJZZ 88.1’s “Nothin’ But The Blues,” will take his show on the road when he broadcasts live during the party.

The ticket price includes complimentary tastings from 10 Long Beach restaurants plus wine tasting courtesy of Celebrity Cruises and a biergarten hosted by Stella Artois. Opportunity drawings for several prizes will also be available and all proceeds will also benefit Food Finders, a community-based food rescue organization.

Restaurants serving at Eat LBC’s Launch Party include: Gladstone’s, Kihon Sushi + Japanese Tapas, La Strada, Callaloo Caribbean Kitchen, Buono’s Pizzeria, Honduras Kitchen, L’Opera, Auld Dubliner, Panxa Cocina, and Bay Street Bistro.

Each guest will receive a stemless wine glass to take home. Stella Artois will provide each guest with a keepsake chalice along with complimentary draft beer.  

Guests will depart with an Eat LBC tote bag--while supplies--last filled with items, such as Celebrity Cruises wine skins, nylon grocery bags, coffee mugs and more.
