The first weekend for the Newport Beach Film Festival officially kicks off Friday with showcase and spotlight films, as well as exciting after parties.
On Friday, April 24 the Showcase Films include “All-Stars” at 8 p.m. at The Triangle; “Divine Access” at 8:15 p.m. at The Triangle (repeat screening at 5 p.m. at Regency South Coast Village); and “Slow West” at 8:30 p.m. at Regency South Coast Village.
On Friday, the festival also celebrates the UK film program and UK festivities with three spotlight films: “Set Fire to the Stars” at 7:30 p.m. at The Triangle; “A Little Chaos” at 8 p.m. at Lido Live; and “A Brilliant Young Mind” at 8:30 p.m. at The Triangle.
After the film, the UK Celebration will take place at SOCO, hosted by Orange Coast Magazine and Screen International. Guests will be treated to entertainment and hors d’oeuvres prepared by award-winning Orange County restaurants. There will also be a hosted bar by Tito’s Vodka, Remy Cointreau and Stella Artois.
The UK Spotlight Film and Celebration cost is $65, and party only cost is $45. Must be 21 and over. It's an outdoor event, coat or jacket is recommended.

Saturday Night Centerpiece Films and After Party
On Saturday, April 25 the Saturday Night Centerpiece films include “Jackie & Ryan” at 7:30 p.m at The Triangle.; "Slow Learners" at 7:30 p.m. at The Triangle; "Lamotta: The Bronx Bull" at 8:30 p.m. at Regency South Coast Village, and a repeat screening at 5:30 p.m. on April 29.
After the film, join the Saturday Night Centerpiece party hosted by Room & Board Home Furnishings at South Coast Plaza Village and Rivera Magazine. Guests will be treated to entertainment and d’oeuvres prepared by award-winning Orange County restaurants. There will also be a hosted bar by Tito’s Vodka, Remy Cointreau and Stella Artois.
