In homage to the legendary photographer, a stunning display of his celebrity portraits are at Laguna Art Museum through April 28, and biographer Mark A. Viera will be sharing stories and anecdotes on Sunday at 1 p.m. about Hurrell and his photographic style. Viera’s book, “Hurrell’s Hollywood Portraits”  a beautiful collection of Hurrell’s work describes his famous subjects, and analyzes his work in photographic terms. Vieira’s sequel, will be published in the fall.

Vieira is also a photographer who adopted Hurrell’s famous technique of lighting and large format camera, incandescent lights, full negative retouching, and fiber-base paper.
