We Love to Waffle!

Bruxie in Brea

Bruxie in Old Towne Orange, home of the original sweet and savory gourmet waffle sandwich, is opening its second location today in Brea Downtown.

At Bruxie, waffle fans can order two types of Belgian waffles: the Brussels waffle that replaces bread for sandwiches and the dense, sweet Liege waffle with Belgian-pearl sugar.

The Bruxie menu offers fresh waffles daily that include savory options such as bacon, egg and cheddar;
 prosciutto and gruyere;
 smoked salmon and dill cream cheese;
 green eggs and ham; roasted mushrooms and goat cheese;
buttermilk fried chicken and waffle;
 Bruxie burger; and
 cheesy Bruxie.
Sweet desserts including
 seasonal crème brulee;
lemon cream and berries; s'mores;
 PB & J;
 Nutella and bananas;
Asian-inspired Ogura Bruxie with red bean and sweet cream; and lemon meringue pie.

You can also choose from salads, locally produced old-fashioned cane sugar sodas, Wisconsin frozen custard, shakes, sundaes and delicious floats. And Bruxie is affordable with no item costing more than $10.

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (until 10 p.m. Thursday and Saturday).

Bruxie in Brea Downtown is at 215 W. Birch St. and in Old Towne Orange at 292 N. Glassell St. at Palm Avenue.
