One of our favorite people in Orange County is Delilah Snell. She has made a huge impact by living simply and bringing us the best in sustainable and local home, apparel and eco-living wares. She founded the Road Less Traveled store 6 years ago, and everyday she works tirelessly to make a difference by educating and offering sustainable workshops, organizing the Patchwork - Indie Arts and Crafts Festival which shines a light on local emerging artists, crafts and designers throughout the year in Santa Ana and Long Beach. Not only that, but she also is an Orange County Master Food Preserver, offering classes on jam making and canning at the Road Less Traveled.
We hope you can celebrate her growth and incredible new digs in Santa Ana on Saturday from 1 to 9 p.m. in between Gypsy Den and Grand Central Arts Center. The Road Less Traveled is still a one-stop eco-lifestyle store and it’s also partnered with Belly Sprout that gives new parents and women a place to find like-minded baby goods and beauty care products.
The grand opening celebration will include activities for the whole family that include coloring sessions by Kauzbots and veggie print making from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., kids music concert from 2 to 3 p.m., book signing from Fern Richardson of “Life on The Balcony”, small space container gardens from 5 to 6 p.m.; eco-beauty touch ups from 5 to 7 p.m. and snacks and refreshments from local eateries. The day will also include great food and drinks.
The Road Less Traveled and Belly Sprout are at 125 N. Broadway-C, Santa Ana. 714.836.8727

Organic Easter
Celebrate Easter Sunday at Paul Martin’s American Bistro in Irvine, the newest concept from restaurateurs Paul Fleming (of P. F. Chang's China Bistro and Fleming’s fame) and Brian Bennett. They debuted the farm to table concept in Roseville, and its Irvine Spectrum location shares the same mantra "Eat organic. Believe in sustainable. Buy local. Love fresh.”
Each Sunday you can relax and savor a three-course prime rib dinner for just $29. The meal comes with a 12 oz. slow-roasted prime rib, creamy mashed potatoes, your choice of soup, or organic baby greens and homemade blondie and ice cream. (Ice cream is also made fresh in house.) You can also try one of their award-winning wines by the glass for under $10.
Open 3 to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday; 3 to 11 p.m. on Saturdays; and 3-9 p.m. on Sundays. Paul Martin’s is at 31 Fortune Drive in Irvine. 949.453.1144
Get to the Getty
If you’re like us, you’re looking forward to seeing “Herb Ritts: LA Style,” a major exhibit that just opened at the Getty Center and Hotel Angeleno would make the perfect place to stay during its run through August 26. (The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the Getty.)
For the first time since the famed fashion photographer died ten years ago, never before seen photographs will be shown, as well as renowned vintage prints, magazine covers, commercials and videos.
Ritts stunning natural light, black and white photos include shots of Madonna, Richard Gere, Cindy Crawford, and Naomi Campbell. During his legendary career, his body of work ranged from memorable ads for Calvin Klein, Armani, and Gap, as well as music videos for Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Shakira, and one of MTV’s sexiest videos of all time, Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game.”
