As far as Target collaborations go, this Neiman Marcus partnership could be the coup de grâce for shoppers. For the first time, 24 stars of the fashion world, such as Brian Atwood, Carolina Herrera, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Oscar de la Renta have designed 50 holiday gifts to be sold at Neiman Marcus and Target starting Saturday.
At Neiman Marcus Fashion Island the line will form at 6 a.m. in front of store at the Cosmetics entrance, doors will open at 8 a.m. Those in line can enjoy coffee, hot cocoa, donut holes, NM cookies and water while waiting to be the first to shop the Neiman Marcus and Target Holiday24 exclusive collection. Whether you see yourself sporting a pair of Derek Lam slippers, or sipping cocktails from Altuzarra Double Old Fashioned glasses or traveling over the holidays with your new alice + olivia Luggage, you’ll be beyond stylish for the season.
And as an added bonus, both Neiman’s and Target will jointly donate $1 million to the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The collection will be available at all Target and Neiman Marcus stores, as well as online at Target.com, NeimanMarcus.com.
Baja Horses
One of my longtime friends, Randy Redmon and his wife Krystal started a rescue for horses in Baja that they are extremely passionate about and run on donations only. All The Pretty Horses of Baja – Rescue & Rides is a safe haven for horses and other animals who have been abandoned or suffering from neglect. “Nothing gives us more joy than to see what plenty of food, good care and kindness will do for horses (dog, cats and squirrels too) that need a helping hand, “ says Redmon. “First, we make sure they know they can depend on us and in return, our animals give joy to us and everyone they meet.”
Their horses are gentle and trained so that riders of all levels and ages can enjoy a ride. All The Pretty Horses of Baja also offers lessons, group rides and they teach kids how to care for horses. All the Pretty Horses of Baja rides is a great way to explore the hills and valleys of Baja complete with stunning ocean views. You can sample local wines, eat tapas, and know that you aiding in care of the beautiful horses you are riding and the ones who need extra care and rehabilitation.
If you are interested, in helping their mission you can join them for a ride on your next trip to Baja (just south of Rosarito) make a donation or sponsor an animal. For more information visit http://bajahorses.com/ or call 949.887.7967
