Great news for anyone who loves to eat out! The District at Tustin Legacy will soon welcome six additional new restaurants and eateries to its mix of major retail stores, dining, and entertainment.
Casa Del Sol Cocina Mexicana is O.C.’s newest Mexican restaurant offering live performances from the internationally renowned Mariachi Sol de Mexico, led by Latin Grammy-nominated conductor Jose Hernandez. The 5,000-square-foot restaurant will take over the former Auld Dubliner space and will feature an outdoor patio with a private dining room. Casa Del Sol is open for lunch and dinner.
Baked Dessert Bar, a popular SoCal-based bakery that specializes in Filipino-inspired gourmet cupcakes, cakes, cheesecakes, macarons and more – is also opening at The District later this fall.
Guests can look forward to purple-hued ube cakes, donuts and brownies, as well as Keto cookies and freshly torched crème brulee cupcakes. This will be Baked Dessert Bar’s first location in OC, with two existing locations in Rancho Cucamonga and Chino Hills. The 1,100-square-foot bakery will be located across from Prego Ristorante.
Also opening in the fall will be Sal’s Pizzeria, the fast-growing and award-winning fast-casual pizza concept. The 1,000-square foot restaurant will offer Italian-American food with an emphasis on New York and Sicilian-style pizza, including best-sellers such as the Grandma Pie and Brooklyn Cheese Pie. Prices start at $3.50 for a slice and $15 for full pies. Sal’s Pizzeria will be located next to AMC Tustin 14.
As the weather cools, diners can indulge in belly-warming meals courtesy of Fast Hot Pot, a fast-casual eatery specializing in tongue-tingling Szechuan Mala-Tang hot pots. Fresh skewers and a variety of ingredients will accompany cauldrons of bold and spicy soup broths for a flavorful and interactive dining experience. The soup is made fresh daily and guests can choose from more than 80 ingredients to customize their hot pot meal. The 1,100-square-foot restaurant will be located across from Prego Mediterranean.
Also in the fall, Isla Dominicana will join Union Market Tustin as a Dominican-inspired, purpose-driven social impact restaurant from Deidre Pujol offering empanadas, sandwiches, rice dishes, and unique beverages. The restaurant’s mission to better the community through providing education and employment opportunities within the restaurant for those re-entering the workforce. Our affiliated culinary school is fueled by Deidre Pujols’ passion for cooking, her husband’s native foods, and their mutual passion for empowering individuals reintegrating into society and the workforce.
In other dining news, Joon Shabu Shabu will be undergoing a concept change next month and become an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant called OC KBBQ. The restaurant will offer a range of traditional Korean BBQ meats, from chadol to pork belly, along with all the usual Korean BBQ accouterments, from rice paper wrappers to banchan side dishes such as kimchi and seasoned bean sprouts. OC KBBQ will be located next to Spice-C near AMC Tustin 14.
The new fall additions come on the heels of other recent arrivals at the center earlier this year, including Dolce Gelato, Hermosa Taqueria, and The Academy at OC Hit Factory.
